Floyd B. Cusick, age 91 of Toronto, formerly of the Tappan Lake area, passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at the Trinity Medical Center West, Steubenville, OH

He was born January 13, 1925 in Wellsburg, WV the son of the late Harry and Etta (Birkheimer) Cusick.

Floyd was a 50 plus year member of the North River Avenue Christian Church of Toronto where he was known as the candy man with his supply of candy for everyone.  His memberships include a life membership in the Knights of Pythias where he had served The State of Ohio Knights of Pythias as Grand Chancellor, Grand Treasurer, Grand Trustee, Supreme Representative and had received the highest honors of the Knights of Pythias, The Golden Spur, a 56 year member of the Toronto Masonic Lodge #583 and the Aladdin Temple Shrine.

He was retired from the Standard Oil Company as an oil distributor and served his country in the U.S. Navy in W.W. II.

Floyd was preceded in death by his parents; wife Roberta Eilene (Rolston) Cusick in 2008 whom he married June 13, 1947; sister Eliza Williams, infant sister Grace and brother Harry Cusick.

He is survived by his son John F. (Marsha) Cusick of Toronto; daughters Jean L. (David B.) Phillips of Louisville, OH and Barbara L. (Robert) Randolph of Mentor, OH; Eleven grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren; brother Edwin Cusick of Steubenville, OH.

Visitation hours for Floyd will be held 2-4 & 6-8 Monday, April 18th at the Clarke Funeral Home, 302 Main St., Toronto, OH

Toronto Masonic Lodge services will be held 6:30 P.M. Monday at the funeral home.

A celebration service of Floyd’s life will be held 1:00 P.M. Tuesday , April 19th at the funeral home with Pastor George W. Coffman II officiating. Interment will follow at the Toronto Union Cemetery. There will be full military honors by the Toronto American Legion at the cemetery.

The family wishes to thank the Carriage House of Steubenville for the great and compassionate care they gave Floyd.

Memorial contributions in memory of Floyd may be made to the donor’s choice or the Shriners Hospitals for Children, 1645 West 8th Street, Erie, PA 16505
