John Robert Thomas

John Robert Thomas, age 75 of Empire, OH passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2016

at the Acuity Specialty Hospital, Weirton W.V.

He was born December 31, 1940 in Steubenville, Oh, the son of the late William and Isabele (Wickham) Thomas.

John loved hunting, fishing and was retired from the Laborers Local Union #809 out of Steubenville, OH.

He was preceded in death by his Wife Kathryn Louise (Barber) Thomas in 2008 whom he married Feb.12, 1965 and a Brother William Thomas.

John’s survivors are daughters, Connie (Wayne) Chase, Cindy (Scott) Lockhart and son

 Robert (Brooke) Thomas all of Empire, OH; grandchildren, Audrey Chase,

Rosetta Chase, Fancy Chase (Tyler) Kitchen, Kelsie Lockhart, Johnathan Chase, Tyler Lockhart and Nathan Click; Great Grandchildren, Colton M. Click, Jaycee D. Click and sister Ruth Ann (Joe) Chidester of Massillon, OH.

Visitation hours for John will be held at the Clarke Funeral Home, 302 Main St., Toronto, OH

2-4 & 6-8 Friday August 12, 2016, A celebration service of John’s life will be held Saturday August 13, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Mark Blakeley officiating and interment at  the Sugar Grove Union Cemetery County Road 68 near Empire, OH.

Memorial donations in memory of John may be made to the donor’s choice of charities.
