Tyler I am so sorry to hear this and Corey and the rest of us pray you get the serenity you need during this time. I am sure Beep my Mom and Sherri were waiting with open arms to welcome him home to eternity with them. He will always be a part of my heart as a step brother. It’s with a heavy heart that I write this. Today I say goodbye to my best friend and brother. We have known each other for over 30 years. Even though at times we let life, work, and raising our families rightfully take up all of our time, I always knew that you were a phone call away. Our four years in the military together were some of the happiest times of my life. We were inseparable, running to work, to eat, to the gym, or to wherever the party was at. Our relationship developed to the point it had me calling your mom, “mom” and even naming my son Nicholas “Nico” after you. Today I received a call that absolutely devastated me. You were taken from us way to soon. How I wish we could have had a little more time together, to be able to joke, laugh, and reminisce. I hope you knew how very important you were to me and how much of an impact you had on my life. Until we meet again please say hello to “mom”, dad and Sherri. I thank the Lord for having you in my Life. Your brother forever!
“Gonzo”

When I think of grade school at Roosevelt School, I think of Nico Butler. I remember him goofing off and smiling. I remember him and Cake being the cutest couple every year. I remember him and Eddy, Marty, and Tim playing their hearts out on the football field. I remember being shocked when I heard Sherri and him were a couple and being so glad they found each other and had a baby, who is now a man. I have not stopped thinking about Tyler since I heard of Nico's passing. I wish him peace and patience in these difficult times.
