Violet Ruth "Sis" (Tharp) Ghrist

Violet Ruth “Sis” Ghrist, age 54 of East Liverpool, OH passed away Monday, August 1, 2016 at the Valley Hospice Care Center North, Steubenville, OH.

She was born January 1, 1962 in Steubenville, OH the daughter of the late Leonard Lee Tharp, Sr. who passed away July 16, 2016 and Violet Ruth (Toy) Tharp who passed away July 2, 2001.

Sis’ favorite past time was playing World of War Craft through which she met people from all over the world. She was formerly employed at the East Liverpool Wal-Mart.

She was preceded in death by a grandson Devin and a brother, William E, Tharp in 2015.

Sis’ survivors are her daughters, Misty (Brent) Reckner of Weirton, WV and Kim Ghrist of East Liverpool, OH; sons, Jeremy Ghrist of East Liverpool, OH and Joshua (LeeAnn) Ghrist of Brilliant, OH; twelve grandchildren; sister, Donna Tharp of Toronto, OH; brothers, Leonard Lee (Kathy) Tharp, Jr. of Steubenville, OH and Donald M. (Teresa) Tharp of Toronto, OH.

A visitation for Sis will be held from 12 P.M. Noon to 3 P.M. Saturday, August 6th at the Clarke Funeral Home, 302 Main St., Toronto, OH.

Memorial donations in memory of Sis may be made to the donor’s choice of charities.
