Virginia "Ginny" (Landis) Keenan

Virginia “Ginny” (Landis) Keenan, age 84 a homemaker of Toronto, OH passed away Sunday, January 17, 2016 at the Sienna Skilled Nursing, Wintersville, OH.

She was born August 21, 1931 in Sandyville, WV the daughter of the late Edward and Ella Richards Landis.

Virginia was a member of the Empire United Methodist Church, Empire, Ohio

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James T. Keenan in 2004 whom she married April 12, 1952; son, Rickie Keenan 2006; great-granddaughter, Ashton McEwan in 1995; great-grandson, Hunter Martin in 2010; brother, John Landis; sisters, Stella Rhodes, Blanche Hudson, Edith Moore and Macel Workman.

Virginia is survived by her sons, Thomas (Ruth) Keenan of Indianapolis, IN and James (Roberta) Keenan of Empire, OH; daughters, Pam (Kris) Lucas of Wintersville, OH and Cassie (Clint) Buchanan of Toronto, OH; ten grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren; brother, William (Josephine) Landis of Hammondsville, OH.

Visitation hours for Virginia will be held 2-4 and 6-8 Thursday, January 21st at the Clarke Funeral Home, 302 Main St., Toronto, OH 43964.

A celebration service of Virginia’s life will be held 1:00 P.M. Friday, January 22nd at the funeral home with Pastor James Willson officiating. Interment will follow at the Sugar Grove Union Cemetery, County Road 68, Toronto.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations in memory of Ginny may be made to the family c/o the Clarke Funeral Home.
