Marian Louise Carman, age 97 of Rockledge, Florida, passed away January 31,2024 in Florida. She was a long time resident of the Toronto area for most of her life.
She was the daughter of the late James and Eda (Stock) Glasure and also was preceded in death by her husband, William Oliver Carman in 2016 whom she married June 10, 1942
Marian was a member of the Hill Top Presbyterian Church where she had served as a Deacon. Before membership at the Hill Top Church, she was a member, piano player and choir director at the former Fosterville United Methodist of Toronto. She had also attended the Bell Chapel United Methodist Church.
She had been the owner-operator of the Chevue Beauty Salon in Toronto for many years. Marian and her husband loved to fly in their plane all over the United States, Canada and Mexico and she loved to get on her diesel tractor and cut the grass each week.
Marian is survived by her sons, Robert (Patricia) Carman and Craig (Karolyn) Carman and also five grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Marian’s visitation hours will take place Thursday, February 15th from 11am to 1pm at the Clarke Funeral Home, Toronto.
A celebration service of Marian’s life will take place February 15th at 1pm at the funeral home with Reverend Irv Hoover officiating. Interment will follow at the Island Creek Cemetery.
