Carolyne Marie (Herrick) Zimmerman

Carolyne Marie Herrick Zimmerman, age 74 of Toronto, OH passed away Friday, June 2, 2017 at the Trinity Medical Center West emergency room .

She was born September 21, 1942 in Toronto, OH the daughter of the late Michael J. and Ludmilla A. (Kubina) Herrick.

Carolyne was a member of the Holy Family Roman Catholic Church of Steubenville, OH and was a 1960 graduate of Toronto High School. She enjoyed baking and gardening and was retired from the Hancock Manufacturing Company retiring in 1994 as a press operator.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Doyle L. Zimmerman in 2014 whom she married January 13, 1978; son, Eric Michael Walter, Sr. in 2008 and a sister, Ludmilla Stephenson.

Carolyne is survived by her granddaughter, Lisa M. Walter of Steubenville, OH; grandsons; Eric M. Walter, Jr. and fiancé Cassie Digman of Toronto, OH, Frank N. Walter and fiancé Jessica Cronin of Hammondsville, OH, Joseph R. Walter of Camp Pendelton, CA and Wilson “Tyler” Walter of Hammondsville, OH; great grandson, Eric M. Walter III; sisters, Mary Ann Fidak of Toronto, OH, Emily Vannest of Toronto, OH, Barbara Blaschak of Arizona, Rose (Greg) Graham of Columbus, OH, Eleanor Adams of Toronto, OH and Elizabeth (Sam) Julio of Follansbee, WV; brothers, George (Micky) Herrick of California and Gregg (Missie) Herrick of Toronto, OH; step-daughters, Rhonda (Rich) Householder of Hammondsville, OH; Beverly (Wendell “Wink”) Reese of Empire, OH and Lori (Chad) Speedy of Empire, OH; sister-in-law, Joyce Hall of Toronto, OH.

Visitation for Carolyne will be held 2-4 & 6-8 Thursday, June 8th at the Clarke Funeral Home, 302 Main Street, Toronto, OH. Additional visitation will be held from 8:45 to 9:30 A.M. Friday, June 9th at the Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, 2565 Alexander Ave., Steubenville, OH.

A Vigil service will be held at 3:45 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.

A Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated 9:30 A.M. Friday at the Holy Family Roman Catholic Church with celebrant Monsignor Gerald Calovini. Interment will follow at the Toronto Union Cemetery.

Memorial contributions in memory of Carolyne may be made to the Holy Family Roman Catholic Church.
