Dorothy Faye (Owens) Robertson

Dorothy Faye Robertson, age 95 a homemaker of Toronto, OH passed away Sunday, February 19, 2017 at the Valley Hospice Care Center North, Steubenville, OH.

She was born February 10, 1922 in Middleport, OH the daughter of the late David Luther Owens and Thelma (Shoebrooks) Owens.

Dorothy loved to play Bingo, cook and spend time with her family. She was a 1939 graduate of Toronto High School.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur R. Robertson who passed away in 1998 and whom she married September 29, 1939; son, Arthur R. “Art” Robertson, Jr. in 1982 and a sister, Marcella Hull.

Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Patricia Ann (Lewis) Caldrone of Wintersville, OH; sons, William James (Darlene) Robertson of Steubenville, OH, Daniel Luther  (Amanda) Robertson and Joel Edward Robertson and companion Fran Sloane all of Toronto, OH; daughter-in-law, Janis Robertson of Toronto, OH; brothers, David Owens of Kenosha, WI and John (Dorothy Faye) Owens of Cincinnati, OH. Fifteen grandchildren and twenty two great-grandchildren survive.

Visitation hours for Dorothy will be held from 3 to 7 P.M. Wednesday, February 22nd at the Clarke Funeral Home, 302 Main Street, Toronto.

A celebration service of Dorothy’s life will be held 10 A.M. Thursday, February 23rd at the funeral home with the Reverend Jason Elliott officiating. Interment will follow at the Toronto Union Cemetery.

Dorothy’s family would like to thank The Laurels of Steubenville, Valley Hospice and Dr. John Figel for the very special care they gave Dorothy.
