Edna Elizabeth (Bash) Riffle

Edna Elizabeth Riffle, age 82 of Toronto, OH passed away Friday, December 29, 2017 at the Valley Hospice Care Center North, Steubenville, OH.

Edna was born August 21, 1935 in Connersville, OH.

Edna was a member of the Hill Top Presbyterian Church; member of the Toronto Sunrise Senior Citizens; graduated from the Warren Consolidated High School and was well known by family and friends for her cooking.

She was formerly employed by the Hancock Manufacturing Company as an accountant and retired from the Union Bank of Toronto as a teller.

Edna was preceded in death by her parents, John and Grace (Dosenberry) Bash; husband, Theodore E. “Ted” Riffle, Sr. in 2013 whom she married September 27, 1955 and daughter, Vickie Riffle Dylewski in 1981.

She is survived by her daughters, Daya (Bill) Pethtel of East Liverpool, OH and Lori Mills and companion Rick Conroy of Hilliard, OH; son, Theodore E. “Ted” Riffle, Jr. and companion Charron Black of Hilliard, OH; grandchildren, Cory Gooch and companion Kendra Trifonoff, Danielle (Carr) McElroy, Daya (Adam) Dole, Michael Swaykus and companion Emily Argentine, Matt Riffle, Jason (Amy) Adams, Duke and Tabitha Marschalk; great-grandchildren, Blake McElroy, Miley, Ella, Tayden and Sabrina Quaeles, Kaitlyn McElroy, Remy Dole and Brayden Adams.

Visitation hours for Edna will be held 2-4 & 6-8 Tuesday, January 2nd and from 10 – 11 Wednesday, January 3rd at the Clarke Funeral Home, 302 Main St., Toronto, OH.

A celebration service of Edna’s life will be held 11 A.M. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Reverend C. Robert Meyer officiating. A luncheon will be provided at the Hill Top Presbyterian Church Social Hall following Edna’s service.

Memorial contributions in memory of Edna may be sent to a charity of the donors choice.
