Gloria Jo (Sperlazza) Henderson

Gloria Jo Sperlazza Henderson of Richmond, OH went home to the Lord on the evening of June 1, 2017. Gloria was born May 4, 1949 in Wheeling, WV to the late Joseph and Audrey Stuck Sperlazza.

Gloria Jo was known and loved by many.

She was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Toronto, OH where she formally shared her beautiful voice while cantering.

Gloria Jo was a dedicated wife, a mother and especially a loving Nana.

She is survived by her husband David Henderson of Richmond, OH whom she married November 14, 1970; her sons, Terry and wife Kerri of Mechanicsville, VA, Aaron and wife Christina of Richmond, OH and Matthew and companion Krissy of  Richmond, OH.

Gloria Jo is also survived by her rays of sunshine, her grandchildren, Sophia Jo, James “J.D.”, Joseph “J.J.” and baby Brandle.

She is also survived by her sister, Leslie (Henry) Peter of Titusville, FL and brothers, Michael (Linda) Sperlazza of Steubenville, OH and Raymond Sperlazza of Boydton, VA along with 14 nieces and nephews.

Visitation hours for Gloria Jo will be held 2-4 and 6-8 Monday, June 5th at the Clarke Funeral Home, 302 Main St., Toronto, OH. Additional visitation will be held at the St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 1225 N. River Ave. , Toronto, OH, June 6th  from 9:15 to 10 A.M.

Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated 10 A.M. Tuesday, June 6th with celebrant the Reverend Father Thomas Vennitti. Interment will follow at the Sugar Grove Union Cemetery, County Road 68, Toronto (Sugar Grove), OH.
