Nina M. Sapp, age 94, of Toronto passed away Sunday, September 2, 2018 at the Sienna Skilled Nursing Home , Wintersville.
She was born September 21, 1923 in St. Marys, West Virginia.
She was a member of the former Dennis Way Church of Christ of Toronto; was a 1941 graduate of Toronto High School. She loved to read and crochet and loved animals.
Nina had been employed as a telephone operator at the former Ohio Bell Telephone Co. in Toronto.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Chester A. and Susan Elizabeth (McFarland) Sciance; husband, Anson Bray Sapp, Jr. in 1999 whom she married January 25, 1947; brother William Sciance; sister Catherine Porter and two infant sisters.
Nina is survived by her son, Larry W. (Terri) Sapp; grandson, Aaron (Jonie) Sapp; great grandchildren, Madison, Noah, Lily and Kami Sapp; sister, Mary Elizabeth Sciance and brother, Ronald Sciance all of Toronto. Several nieces and nephews survive.
To honor Nina’s wishes, a private family service will be held Friday, September 7th at the Toronto Union Cemetery with Minister Leonard “Buck” Groves of the Southern Hills Church of Christ, Salineville, OH officiating. Interment will follow the service at the cemetery.
