Ronald Wayne McTheny, age 80 of Toronto passed away Sunday, January 28, 2018 at the Valley Hospice North, Steubenville, OH.
He was born May 8, 1937 in Toronto the son of the late Harlon and Lillian (McElwain) McTheny,
Ronald was a 1956 graduate of Toronto High School; was a man of faith; an artist; loved to garden and served his country in the U.S. Army, Military Police.
He was retired from the Valley Converting Co. of Toronto.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Gerry Hannan in 1977 and Linda L. King in 2017 and brothers, Harold C. McTheny in 2003 and John R. McTheny, Sr. in 2013.
Ronald is survived by his wife, Fran I (Racz) McTheny whom he married June 30, 1962; daughter, Kerry I. McTheny and son, John H. McTheny both of Toronto; sister, Mary Clark of Keyser, WV and Ronald’s pet cat Sam.
Visitation hours for Ronald will be held 2-4 & 6-8 Wednesday, January 31st at the Clarke Funeral Home, 302 Main St., Toronto.
A celebration service of Ronald’s life will be held 11 A.M. Thursday, February 1st at the funeral home with his niece Deborah Merritt-McTheny officiating. Interment will follow at the Sugar Grove Union Cemetery, County Road 68, Toronto where there will be full military honors by the Toronto American Legion Honor Guard.
