Wilma Shingleton

Wilma Shingleton, age 80 of Steubenville, OH , a former resident of Hammondsville, OH went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 25, 2018. Wilma was the daughter of Wilbert and Clarissa Kirby Shingleton. She was born in Grafton, WV on February 23, 1938.

She loved to color and loved to dance

She resided with her niece, Sandy Kennedy and husband Harold and great niece Emily Kennedy.

Wilma was from a large loving family. Surviving are three sisters, Katherine Morris from Grafton, WV, Wilma’s twin sister, Wanda Stewart of Amsterdam, OH, Evelyn Buren and husband Michael of Wellsville, OH and sister-in-law Sue Shingleton of Wellsville, OH and brother-in-law William Wilson of Wellsville, OH and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death are four sisters and one brother, Velma Goodwin of Rosemont, WV, Eileen Myers of Hammondville, OH, Mildred Salesbury of Salineville, OH, Ladonna Wilson of Wellsville, OH and Leroy “Buck” Shingleton of Wellsville, OH

Wilma was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed. We pray Wilma will rest in peace with her journey with her Lord.

Visitation hours for Wilma will be held 11 – 12 noon Wednesday, August 29th at the Clarke Funeral Home, 302 Main St, Toronto.

A celebration service of Wilma’s life will be held at 12 noon Wednesday at the funeral home with Pastor Doug Calhoun officiating. Interment will follow at the Spring Hill Cemetery, Wellsville, OH.
