(Eigenmann) Santin
July 28, 1929 – March 11, 2021
Agnes Matilda Santin, age 91 of Toronto, passed away peacefully Thursday, March 11, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was a member of the St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church of Toronto and the Catholic Women's Club of the church. Agnes loved her family and loved to garden, cook, bake and sew. She also took great pleasure in caring for her cat family.
She was born July 28, 1929 in Dagetschwil, Switzerland the daughter of the late Anton and Agnes (Hug) Eigenmann. Also preceding her in death were her beloved husband, Augusto G. "Augie" Santin in 2005 whom she married October 2, 1954; a brother, Tony Eigenmann and sisters, Evonne Eigenmann and Hilda (Gerhard) Pauls.
Agnes is survived by her children, Diana Santin of Toronto, Yvonne Santin of Parkersburg, WV, Bryan (Michele) Santin of Toronto and Gloria Santin of Weirton, WV; grandchildren, Merissa (Bruce) McKinstry of Newark, OH and Bryan (Julianne) Santin of Irvine, CA; great-grandchildren, Mia and Ella McKinstry and Fitz Santin and a sister Olga (Achille) Spinadin of Vittori Veneto, Italy.
Visitation hours for Agnes will be held 4 to 6 PM Monday, March 15th at the Clarke Funeral Home, 302 Main St., Toronto where a Vigil Service will be held at 4 PM. Additional visitation will be held from 9 to 10 AM at the St. Francis Roman Catholic Church of Toronto.
A Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated 10 AM Tuesday, March 16th at the St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church with Father Thomas Vennitti officiating. Interment will follow at the Toronto Union Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in memory of Agnes may be made to the Jefferson County Humane Society and Animal Welfare Shelter, 200 Airport Access Road, Wintersville, OH 43953
Masks and social distancing are required at the funeral home. No exceptions. the family requests that visitors not linger during visitation hours. Thank you for your consideration on behalf of the family and the funeral home personnel.
