Agnes Eleanor Petros Volsky, age 82 of Toronto, passed away on Saturday, July 1, 2006 at her home.Born August 4, 1923 in Stratton, Ohio, she is a daughter of the late Andrew and Mary Hudak PetrosShe is a 1941 Graduate of Toronto High School, and is a retired packer from the former Hancock Manufacturing Company in Toronto after 38 years of service. She is a member of St. Joseph''s Roman Catholic Church in Toronto and was an active member of the St. Joseph Catholic Womens Club. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Steve Joseph Volsky who passed away March 23, 1973. Two brothers Andrew and Urban Petros, and four sisters Ann Petros, Margurete Kadish, Mary Petros, and Eleanor Wright.Her survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Teresa V. Volsky Samstag of Nottingham, New Hampshire and Mrs. Marianne Volsky Hirjak of Sarasota, Florida. A son Robert S. Volsky of Toronto. Four Grandchildren, Mrs.Lori J. Whittaker of Columbus, Ohio, Dr. Paul R. Newbold of Orlando, Florida, Benjamin P. Hirjak of Delray Beach, Florida, and Ms. Heidi Hirjak of Philadelphia, Pa. Five Great-Grandchildren, Bradford G. and Delaney C. Whittaker of Columbus, Ohio, and Ashley, Elizabeth, and Luke Newbold of Orlando, Florida. And a brother Richard Petros of Rockville, Maryland.Family and friends will gather for visitation on Wednesday, July 5, 2006 from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the funeral Liturgy with Mass at 12:00 P.M. at the St. Joseph''s Roman Catholic Church - 1225 North River Avenue, Toronto with Monsignor Kurt Kemo officiating. Burial will follow at Toronto Union Cemetery.In lieu of Flowers, memorial contributions in Agnes''s name may be made to the St. Joseph''s Roman Catholic Church - Toronto.Agnes was very committed to her church, and was a loving and dedicated wife and mother to her husband and children. She was always full of energy and ready to help anyone at anytime. She will be sadly missed by her regular church goers and her family.
