Ann Elizabeth Barlas 86 of Toronto passed away Wednesday April 13, 2016 at the Trinity Medical Center West, Steubenville.

She was born February 6, 1930 in Steubenville the daughter of the late Andrew and Elizabeth (Hromi) Rock.

Ann was a member of the St. Francis Roman Catholic Church of Toronto ,  Catholic Women's Club of the church, the Slovak Women's Club and was a 1949 graduate of Toronto High School. She enjoyed spending time with her family when they got together; liked Ohio State and Steeler football; enjoyed pigeon races with her husband John and had worked at the former Toronto A & P Grocery store and the former Mike's Market in Toronto.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband John P. Barlas in 2000 whom she married June 25, 1955; niece Cindy Utzler Hedges and god son Bill Utzler.

Ann's is survived by her daughter Carol  and son-in-law Bob Molnar who she thought of as her son of Toronto; sisters Betty Utzler of Steubenville and Mary Slavik of South Lyon, MI; brother Tom Rock of Dayton, OH and grandchildren Derrick and Monica Molnar.

Visitation hours for Ann will be held 2-4 and 6-8 Sunday April 17th at the Clarke Funeral Home, Toronto. Additional visitation will be held from 10 to 11 A.M. Monday April 18th at the St. Francis Roman Catholic Church, Toronto.

A Vigil Service will be held at 3:30 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.

A Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated 11 A.M. Monday at St. Francis Roman Catholic Church with Celebrant the Reverend Father Thomas Vennitti. Interment will follow at the Toronto Union Cemetery.
