Anna Mae Byers, age 91 of Columbiana, OH, a former resident of Wellsville, OH, passed away Friday, November 11, 2016 at the home of her daughter where she resided for the last several months.

She was born October 29, 1925 in Empire, OH the daughter of Harry and Vera (Bray) Peterson.

Anna Mae's sole reason for living was for her immediate family, extended family and many friends most of who preceded her in death. Anna Mae lived a full Christian life with her out pouring of love and generosity to all.

She retired from the Edison Local School District as a cook for the former Empire Elementary school.

Anna Mae was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul D. Byers who passed away August 9, 2002 and whom she married March 26, 1948; brother, William Edward Peterson; sisters, Lucille Pauline Peterson, Mary Louise Comito and Sara McClurg.

She is survived by her son, Jack (Rose) Byers of Enon Valley, PA; daughter, Sandra Kay Byers of Columbiana, OH; brother, Jack (Marge) Peterson of Spartanburg, S.C. and grandchildren, Angie, Anna, Mike and Paul.

A memorial service for Anna Mae will be held 1:00 P.M. Monday, November 21, 2016 at the Clarke Funeral Home, 302 Main St., Toronto, OH with Patricia Goss officiating.
