Anne Marie Karaffa, age 94 of Concord, Ohio, a former longtime resident of Toronto, Ohio, passed away on Friday, December 28, 2012 at the Fairmount Health Center in Willoughby, Ohio.
Born November 11, 1918 in Toronto, she is a daughter of the late Alex and Mary (Horkulic) Zdinak. She is a 1936 graduate of Toronto High School, and was a lifelong member of the St. Joseph Byzantine Catholic Church in Toronto.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John J. Karaffa, whom she married August 9, 1941 and who passed away in 1992. A sister, Mary Tulencik, and four brothers, Elek, Mike, Pete, and John Zdinak.
Anne''s survivors include, four daughters, Mrs. Catherine Williams of Gladwin, Michigan, Mrs. Cornelia Karaffa (Bill) of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Mrs. Christine Anderson and her husband Robin of Concord, Ohio, Dr. Camille Karaffa-Drouillard and her husband Joe of Maumee, Ohio; a son John Karaffa and his wife Beverly of New Albany, Indiana; three sisters, Mrs. Magdalene "Madge" Pellior . Mrs. Veronica "Hedgie" Sutherin, Mrs. Helen Scalley all of Toronto; a brother George Zdinak of Wellington, Ohio; and two grandchildren, Nicholas and Matthew Karaffa
