Bessie M. Roth, age 79 a homemaker of Toronto passed away Thursday, March 31, 2016 at Sienna Woods Nursing Home, Wintersville, OH

She was born June 20, 1936 in Tollgate, West Virginia the daughter of the late Johnnie and Mary (Stull) Cross.

Bessie was a member of the Bell Chapel United Methodist Church of Pleasant Hill and loved to crochet, can goods and play bingo.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband George W. Roth in 2011 whom she married March 6, 1954; sisters Doris Gaston, Dorothy Nitz and Kate Mossor; brothers Charles "Bunker", John, Jr. and Robert Cross.

Bessie is survived by her sons Larry (Debbie) Roth of Toronto, Gary (Wilma) Roth of Wellsburg, WV , David (Kelly) Roth of Toronto ; daughter Terry Weekly and companion Sheldon of Toronto; granddaughter Cordelia (Brian) Russell of Toronto; great-grandson Michael Russell; twin great-granddaughters Cayleigh and Khloe Russell; sisters Dessie Burgess of Dover, OH, Tressie Monigold of Florida, Liz Murphy of Toronto, Jean (Wayne) Anderson of Texas and Sue Hinton of Harrisville, WV; step- grandchildren Kristin , Catie and Denise Hill; step-great grandchildren Bow and Hunter.

Visitation hours for Bessie will be held Tuesday April 5th from 10 A.M. to 2 P.M. at the Clarke Funeral Home, 302 Main St., Toronto.

A celebration service of Bessie's life will be held Tuesday at 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home with the Reverend Jeff Proya officiating. Interment will follow at the Island Creek Cemetery.

Friends and family are invited to a luncheon at the Bell Chapel Methodist Church, State Route 213, Pleasant Hill following Bessie's funeral and graveside service.

Memorial contributions in memory of Bessie may be made to the donor's choice of charity in her name.
