Betty J. Fisher Howard, 71, of Toronto, died Tuesday, July 3, 2001, at Trinity Medical Center West, Steubenville.
Betty was born May 26, 1930, in Toronto, the daughter of the late Walter U. and Lillian Tice Fisher. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Howard Jr., who passed away Dec. 11, 1980, and whom she married June 1, 1957; a stepson, David E. Howard, who passed away in 1997; and a brother, Walter T. Fisher.
She attended the First Church of the Nazarene in Toronto, and was a homemaker.
Surviving are one son, Edward Wayne Howard and wife, Nan, of Cary, N.C.; one daughter, Vicky Black and husband, Tim, of Bloomingdale, Ohio; stepson, James W. Howard and wife, Pam, of Monroe, Mich.; two stepdaughters, Debbie Howard, of Monroe, and Sharon Cronenwett and husband, Tony, of Carlton, Mich.; four brothers, Bill Fisher and wife, Ruth, of Riverview, FL, Richard ''''Dick'''' Fisher and wife, Betty, of Toronto, Thurman Fisher, of Toronto, and David Lee Fisher of Weirton; two sisters, Blanche Sherwood and husband, Tony, of Dunedin, FL; and Rose Ann Garren and husband, Ron, of Louisville, Ohio; 16 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Dennis Kelley officiating. Interment will take place at the Toronto Union Cemetery, Toronto.
