Billy Dean Hupp, age 89 of Toronto passed away Monday, March 27, 2023 at the Meadows of Cadiz Nursing Home.
He was born February 3, 1934 in Toronto the son of the late Orville and Pauline (Clendenning) Hupp.
Billy was a member of the following: The Riverview United Methodist Church, Toronto, Toronto Masonic Lodge # 583, Valley of Steubenville Scottish Rite , Aladdin Temple Shrine and the Toronto Sons of the American Legion. He was a great fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cleveland Browns, loved to fish and golf and enjoyed his time on the river in his boat.
Billy was retired a CPA accountant from the Weirton Steel Co. and after retirement he was employed by the Ohio Department of Transportation.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Joyce A. (Workman) in 2020 and a sister, Linda Louella Spence in 2022.
Billy is survived by his daughter, Lu Ellyn (Bill) Dallas of Toronto and his son Dane A. Hupp of Steubenville.
Grandchildren, Meghann and Logan Hupp , Heather (Bill) Allison, Angela (Elijah) Bowden and Melissa and Norm Brown; Great-grandchildren, Will, Landry and Brooklyn Allison, Jesse and Chelsie Allison and family. Abigail and Isaac Bowden, Sam, Iain and Amelia Brown. Nieces and nephews as well.
Visitation for Billy will be 4 – 7 PM Friday, March 31st at the Clarke Funeral Home, Toronto.
There will be a Toronto Masonic Lodge service at 6:30 PM Friday at the funeral home followed by a celebration of life service at 7 PM with Pastor Frank Rogers officiating.
Memorial contributions in memory of Billy may be made to the Riverview United Methodist Church, 105 N. River Ave. or The Toronto American Legion, 415 Market St. Both of Toronto, OH 43964
