Buster William Bowman, age 73 passed away Friday, July 24, 2026 at the Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital, Canton, OH.

He was born January 6, 1953 in Follansbee, WV the son of the late William Richard Bowman and Sophie (Cherneko) Bowman. He was also preceded in death by a nephew, Ray Bowman.

Buster was a Brooke High School graduate, member of the Cedar Lodge of Follansbee, was an avid football and auto racing fan but most of all he also loved to be with his family and go to all of the grandkid’s functions. He retired from the Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Company as a millwright.

Buster’s family surviving is his wife, Prudy Lynn( Mellion) Bowman whom he married August 20, 1978; son, Buster William Bowman and wife Brittany; daughter, Katie Bowman; grandchildren, Buster “Bo” Bowman and Sophie Jo Bowman; sisters, Pam Meca and husband Steve and Joyce Colucci; brother Raymond Bowman; nieces, Lauren and Rachel Bowman and brother-in-law, George Murray.

Family and friends will gather for visitation 4 to 7 PM Thursday July 30th at the Clarke Funeral Home, Toronto.

A celebration service of Buster’s life will be held 11 AM Friday July 31st at the funeral home.
