Carl W. A"DutchA" Nordenger Jr., age 75 of Toronto, passed away on Wednesday, March 21, 2007 at the Trinity Medical Center West - Steubenville.Born June 6, 1931 in Toronto, he is a son of the late Carl W. and Mary Alice Gallagher Nordenger Sr. Dutch is retired from the Toronto City Schools where he worked for many years as the buildings and grounds supervisor, and is a member of the First United Methodist Church in Toronto. He is a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving in the U.S. Army. Dutch was a very active member of the Toronto American Legion Post #86 and served as the Club''s Commander and Judge Advocate, he was active at the district level serving as the Ohio district 10 Commander. Dutch was also very involved with the American Legion State Baseball Commission, and a member of the Wellsburg Moose Lodge #1354, and had been active in the Toronto Volunteer Fire Department.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in Death by his brother, Paul Nordenger.Dutch''s survivors include his wife of 53 years, Mrs. Peggy M. (Cox) Nordenger, whom he married August 5, 1953; a son, James Nordenger and his wife Suzie of San Diego, California; a daughter Mrs. Carla Trifonoff and her husband John of Steubenville, a sister in law Mrs. Sharon Nordenger of Newport, Washington; Six Grandchildren, Miss Valerie Dobbins of Washington, Pa., Mrs. Jennifer McCourt and her husband Brad of Toronto, Miss Shauna Dobbins of Steubenville, Miss Jacqueline Nordenger of Denver Colorado, Miss Ashley Nordenger of Denver, Colorado, and Adam Trifonoff of Bloomingdale, Ohio, Three Great-Grandchildren, and several Nieces and Nephews.Family and friends will gather for visitation on Thursday, March 22, 2007 from 7-9 P.M. and on Friday, March 23, 2007 from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. at the Clarke Funeral Home - 302 Main St. Toronto. 740-537-1234/800-588-1446. The Toronto Volunteer Fire Department will hold services on Friday at 7:30 P.M. at the funeral home.A celebration of Dutch''s Life service will be held on Saturday, March 24, 2007 at 1: 00 P.M. at the Funeral Home with Rev.
