Carl T. Scott - Age 86 - of Steubenville, died Thursday, October 18, 2001 at his residence of natural causes.
He was born September 15, 1915 in Toronto, Ohio, the son of the late Harry C. and Sallie Vanconia Scott.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of W.W.II serving in the Asian Theatre of operations.
Carl is retired from National Steel Corp. - Weirton Steel Division as a Superintendant of the Boiler House.
He was preceded in death by: Parents / a former wife Mary E.''''Betty'''' Scott who passed away in 1973 / 2 Sons: Ralph and Harry Scott / 1 Daughter: Jill Coulter / 2 Brothers: George and Fay Scott / 3 Sisters: Almeda Butler, Garnet Gribben, and Thelma Steel.
Carl''s Survivor''s are: Wife: Lana Portocarrero Scott of the home whom he married October 11, 1975 2 Sons: Jeff Scott of Toronto Otis Hughes and wife Frances of Steubenville 1 Step-son: Robert Williams and fiance Lori of Tridelphia, WV. 2 Step-daughters: Patti Talamine and husband Denny of Steubenville Tina Williams and fiance Dan Hughes of Pittsburgh, PA. Twin brother: Jay Scott of Toronto Sister: Vivian Laibach of Toronto Several grandchildren and great-grandchildren Friends and family will be received for visitation 2-4 & 7-9 Saturday, October 20, 2001 at Clarke Funeral Home, 302 Main Street, Toronto, Ohio. 740-537-1234 or 800-588-1446 A funeral service will be held 1:30 PM Sunday - October 21, 2001 at Clarke Funeral Home with Pastor Robert Hanze officiating. Burial will take place at Toronto Union Cemetery. A full military graveside service will be held at the Toronto Union Cemetery by the Toronto American Legion. Memorial contributions in memory of Carl may be made to the charity of the donor''s choice.
