Carol Lynn Hostina Nowlin, age 68 of Toronto passed away peacefully at sundown Saturday December 20, 2025 at the Carriage Inn of Steubenville.

Carol was the daughter of the late Clarence and Gladys (Hanlon) Dawson and also preceded in death by her husband Frank "Rusty" Hostina in 2012 whom she married August 9, 1996 and a brother Randall Dawson November 17, 2025.

She is survived by her only daughter, Brandi L'Cyna Dixon (partner Zack Lundsford) brothers, Robert Dawson and wife Alicia and Roger Dawson and partner Laura, and sister-in-law Dottie Dawson as well as her love for all animals.

Carol was a member of the Weirton Heights Church of Christ in Weirton, WV. She was an avid crafter and animal lover. She crocheted many items for her loved ones.

Carol's visitation will be held from 2 to 4 PM Saturday January 24th  at the Clarke Funeral Home, Toronto  A memorial service celebrating Carol's life will follow at 4 PM with Pastor Steve Smithbauer officiating.

Carol's interment will be at the New Cumberland Cemetery

Memorial contributions in memory of Carol may be directed to the Jefferson County Humane Society.
