Carolyn Lee "Sis" Goad, age 74 of Toronto, OH passed away Sunday, September 15, 2024 at Trinity West Medical Center with her loving family surrounding her.

She was born December 11, 1949 in Steubenville, OH the daughter of the late Robert E. Holsinger and Alice M. (Thompson) Holsinger.

Carolyn was the granddaughter of the late Harry and Mary Thompson and Arthur Holsinger and Iva Turner.

She was also preceded in death by her brother Bobby Holsinger and her sister Kathy Holsinger and all her aunts and uncles.

Carolyn leaves behind her loving husband of 51 years, Maynard Bryan Goad; son, Mark Goad; daughter, Amber (Duane) Peckens; sister, Sandy Holsinger; grandchildren, Eva Goad, Memphis Goad, Chloe Peckens and Gunnar Peckens; five sisters-in-law and four brothers-in-law.

She was a graduate of Jefferson Union High School and Steubenville Cosmetology.

Carolyn loved working her flower gardens, taking care of her Hummingbirds and gambling with her Aunt Annie Thompson.

She was a member of the Toronto Chapter #215 Order of Eastern Star.

Carolyn loved to laugh and have a good time. She will be missed by her family and many friends.

Visitation hours for Carolyn will be from 4 PM to 8 PM Thursday, September 19th

at the Clarke Funeral Home, 302 Main St., Toronto, OH.

Toronto Order of Eastern Star services will be held at 6 PM Thursday at the funeral home.

A celebration service of Carolyn's life will be held 11 AM Friday September 20th at the funeral home with the Reverend Jane Shockey officiating.

Memorial contributions in memory of Carolyn may be directed to the Jefferson County Animal Shelter or the American Cancer Society.
