Carolyn R. "Ruth" Smith, age 79 of Cathedral City, California, passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at the Odyssey House Hospice in California.Born May 17, 1932 in Toronto, she is a daughter of the late Wendell B. and Grace (Brown) Larkin. Ruth was a 1951 Graduate of the former Jefferson Union (Edison Local) High where she was active with the yearbook staff and the girls reserves. She was self- employed as a caterer, and was a member of the New Somerset United Methodist Church.In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother Robert "Bob" Larkin who passed away in 1950, and a grandson Mitchell Laing who passed away in 2011.Ruth''s survivors include, her son Daniel Smith of Riverside, California; two daughters, Mrs. Susan (Smith) Lollman and her husband Adrian of Cathedral City, California, Mrs. Shonda (Smith) Palmer and her husband Wayne of Vista, California; a sister, Mrs. Marjorie (Larkin) Grafton of New Somerset, Ohio; a sister-in-law Mrs. Connie Larkin of Batavia, New York; Ten Grandchildren; Six Great-Grandchildren; Four Nieces, and One Nephew.Family and friends will gather for visitation on Friday, March 2, 2012 from 11:00 A.M. till 1:00 P.M. at the Clarke Funeral Home a
