Charles A. Meeks, age 68 of Steubenville, OH passed away Monday, July 6, 2015 at the Cumberland Pointe Care Center, Saint Clairsville, OH

He was born August 20, 1946 in Steubenville the son of the late Charles
Edward Meeks and Dorothy Jane Sneathen Meeks.

Charles was a graduate of Jefferson Union High School, class of 1964; was an avid car collector and was member and founder of the Tri-City Klassics Car Club; served his country during the Vietnam War Era in the U.S. Army and was retired from the Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Corporation.

He is survived by his wife, Diane M. Wasson Meeks whom he married June 1, 1966; son, Mark E. (Dawn) Meeks of Salem, OH; grandchildren, Corbin Clark of Moundsville, WV, Cheyenne Meeks of Moundsville, WV, Zachary Altman of Bozeman, MT and Braedon Altman of Salem, OH.

Visitation hours for Charles will be held 2-4 and 6-8 Wednesday, July 8th at the Clarke Funeral Home, 302 Main St., Toronto.

A celebration service of Charles' life will be held 11 A.M. Thursday, July 9th at the funeral home with Pastor Roger Wayne officiating. Interment will be at the Island Creek Cemetery, County Road 46, Toronto.

There will be full military honors for Charles by the Toronto American Legion Post #86 Honor Guard at the Island Creek Cemetery.

Memorial contributions in memory of Charles may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
