Charles H. Porter - Age 83 - of Warren, Ohio died Wednesday August 29, 2001 at the Autumn Hill Nursing Home in Niles, Ohio.
Mr. Porter is a former resident of Toronto and had moved to Warren, Ohio to the home of his sister-in-law Helen Maxine Peterson and her husband Darl.
Charles''s memberships include: North River Avenue Church of Christ in Toronto, American Legion in Belleview, Florida and the Toronto Masonic Lodge #583 F. and A.M..
He is a veteran of W.W.II serving in the U.S. Army.
Charles retired in 1980 from the Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Company where he worked for 44 years as a welder.
He was preceded in death by: Parents / Wife- Virginia Mae Gump Porter who passed away December 8, 1998 and whom he married June 27, 1940 / a son and daughter-in-law Raymond and Margaret Porter who both died December 19, 1971 / brother - Frank Porter.

1 Brother: Edward Porter and wife Shirley of Toronto
2 Sisters: Thelma Dillon and husband Everett of Wintersville, Ohio
Evelyn Cline of Toronto
Sister-In-Law: Helen Maxine Peterson and husband Darl of Warren, Ohio with whom he lived until going to the Autumn Hill Nursing Home
Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Friends and family will be recieved for visitation 2-4 & 6-8 PM Thursday August 30, 2001 at the Clarke Funeral Home - 302 Main Street Toronto, Ohio.

Burial will take place at the Fort Steuben Burial Estates, Wintersville, Ohio.
