Charles E. Weaver, age 76 of Empire, passed away on Saturday, August 27, 2005 at Weirton Medical Center - Weirton.Born November 17, 1928 in Toronto, he is a son of the late James W. and Lillian Morrison Weaver. Charles was a member of the Empire United Methodist Church, where he served as a Trustee, was a Bible study teacher, and a member of the choir. He is retired from the former Weirton Steel Corporation, C & E Coal Company and Sheets Trucking. He is a veteran of the United States Army, serving between WW II and Korea. He is a member of the Weirton Steel 25 year club.In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Darrel Weaver, a sister Evelyn Sheets, a daughter Evelyn Rawson, a grandson Todd Rawson, his foster parents, Raymond and Emma Sheets, and his mother-in-law Margaret Rudder.Charles is survived by his wife of 55 years, Jacqueline Westbrook Weaver of the home, whom he married December 24, 1949. Two daughters, Mrs. Gail Bocek and her husband John, and Mrs. Yvonne Majoris and her husband Gregory, both of Toronto. A son Charles E. Weaver Jr. of Stratton. Seven grandchildren, Mrs. Tonya Snider and her husband David of Vevay, Indiana; Mrs. Terri Swickard and her husband Ken of Toronto; Mrs. Tara Shane and her husband Chris of Empire; Travis and Tyler Weaver of Empire, Derek Bocek of Toronto; and Ms. Kylee Jo Rawson of Toronto. Four Great-Grandchildren, Alexis and Dallas Snider of Vevay, Indiana; and Gavin and Landyn Swickard of Toronto.Family and Friends will gather for visitation on Tuesday, August 30, 2005 from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. at the Clarke Funeral Home - 302 Main St. Toronto. 740-537-1234/800-588-1446A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 31, 2005 at 1:00 P.M. at the Empire United Methodist Church, with Rev. Al Talkington and Mr. John Keenan officiating.
