Dehner John Yocum, age 70 of Toronto, OH passed away Saturday, November 4, 2017 at the Trinity Medical Center West, Steubenville, OH.

He was born August 17, 1947 in Steubenville, OH.

Dehner was Methodist by faith; served for ten years as a city of Toronto first ward councilman and had served on the City of Toronto Planning Commission and Zoning Commission; was a 1965 graduate of Toronto High School and was a former employee of Clarke Funeral Home.

He was retired from the Howard Bowers Contracting Co. working in many capacities including as an accountant.

Dehner was preceded in death by his parents, John Herbert Yocum in 2001 and Naomi Ruth Yocum in 2008.

He is survived by his wife, Glenna J. (Davis) Yocum whom he married August 24, 1968 (49 years); daughter, Gretchen (Robert) Abner of Plano, TX and grandchildren, Dawson and Brody Abner of Plano, TX.

Visitation hours for Dehner will be held 2-4 & 6-8 Wednesday, November 8th at the Clarke Funeral Home, 302 Main St., Toronto, OH.

A celebration service of Dehner's life will be held 11 A.M. Thursday, November 9th at the funeral home with Pastor Rob Minto officiating. Interment will follow at the Toronto Union Cemetery, Toronto, OH
