Dennis "DenDen" Bray Parks, age 74 of Toronto, OH passed away Sunday, September 18, 2016 at his home.

He was born August 20, 1942 in Knoxville, OH the son of John Cecil Parks and Myrtle Ada (Bray) Haught.

Dennis was a veteran having served his country during the Vietnam War in the U.S. Navy serving on the USS Morton and was retired from the Ohio Edison Company Sammis Plant in Stratton, OH. He was a 1960 graduate of Jefferson Union High School.

He was preceded in death by his step-mother, Helen A. Parks; brothers, Ronald Vernon Parks and Robert Lee Parks.

Dennis is survived by his daughters, Tonya Renee Bliss and her husband Pastor Phillip Bliss of St. Clairsville, OH and Lisa Michele Parks and companion Dave McCamick of Colerain, OH; son, Casey Steven Parks and companion Jamie Tucker of Oak Ridge, N.C.; grandchildren, Logan Persinger, Kaylee Stock, Madison Stock and Ashlynn Stock and a great-grandson, Clayton Persinger.

Visitation hours for Dennis will be held 4 – 8 Friday, September 23rd at the Clarke Funeral Home, 302 Main St., Toronto, OH.

A celebration service of Dennis' life will be held 11 A.M. Saturday, September 24th at the funeral home with his son-in-law, Pastor Phillip Bliss officiating. Interment will follow at the Island Creek Cemetery, County Road 46 & State Route 213, Toronto, OH.

There will be graveside honors by the Toronto American Legion Chaplain.

Memorial contributions in Dennis' memory may be made to the American Heart Association.
