Dennis Elwood Yocum, age 79 of Toronto passed away peacefully Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at the home of his son David V. Yocum.

He was born April 29, 1941 in Steubenville the son of the late David Elwood "Pappy" Yocum and Mary L. (Felton) Yocum.

Dennis was a member of the New Somerset Christian Church; was a member of Toronto Masonic Lodge No. 583 F.& AM; was a member of the Toronto Rod and Gun Club a 1960 graduate of Jefferson Union High School and loved to fish.

He was a long-time dedicated associate of Clarke Funeral Home and retired from TIMET of Toronto.

Besides his parents, Dennis was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte M. (Keller) Yocum whom he married October 7, 1961 and passed away October 4, 2019; son, Stephen Yocum and a sister Mary Ellen Yocum.

Dennis is survived by his son, David V. (Brenda) Yocum of Toronto; daughter, Mary Jane Smith of Columbus, OH; brothers, Rich (Patricia) Yocum of Pinehurst, NC, Phillip (Janet) Yocum of Harrisburg, OH, David Mark Yocum of Toronto and Keith (Michael Hollis) Yocum of Royal Oak, MI; grandchildren, Christopher (Lauren) Hunt of Dallas, TX, Travis Yocum of Columbus, OH and Hope (Brandan) King of Nashville, TN; great-grandchildren, Lydia and Colin Hunt.

Visitation hours for Dennis will be held 3-6 PM Friday, May 29th at the Clarke Funeral Home, Toronto followed by a celebration service of Dennis' life at 6 PM Friday with Pastor Rob Minto officiating.

Memorial contributions in memory of Dennis may be made to the New Somerset Christian Church, 74 Ridgeland Drive, Toronto, OH 43964.
