Dolores Jean Mellott, age 83 of Steubenville, OH passed away Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at the Dixon Health Care Center, Wintersville, OH.

She was born June 13, 1931 in Toronto, OH the daughter of the late Harvey and Mary (Still) Wells Housewick.

Dolores was a member of the Bell Chapel United Methodist Church, Steubenville (Pleasant Hill), OH and was the former owner of D''s North End Tavern, Steubenville, OH.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Darla Peterson; first husband, Harold Huggins and second husband, Larry Mellott; sisters, Alice, Janice, and Betty; brothers, Richard, Dale and Dennis. Dolores is survived by her sons, Bruce (Christina) Huggins of Toronto, OH, Tracey (Marjie)Huggins of Steubenville, OH and Lance Darling (Jennifer) Mellott of Akron, OH; Sandy Gofoli of Steubenville, OH and Laurel (Andrew) Bailey of Massachusetts; sister, Patricia Robertson of Steubenville, OH; brothers, Clifton (Sue) Wells and Keith (Debbie) Wells all of Arkansas. Seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild also survive. Friends and family will be received from 11 A.M. to 2 P.M. Monday, October 20th at the Clarke Funeral Home, 302 Main St., Toronto, OH. A celebration service of Dolores'' life will be held 2 P.M. Monday at the funeral home with the Reverend Jeff Proya officiating. Interment will follow at the Center Chapel Union Cemetery, Pleasant Hill.
