Donald E. Nichols - Age 71 - of Toronto, Ohio, died Tuesday- March 13, 2001 at Shadyside Hospital - Pittsburgh, Pa.
He was born October 7, 1929 in Buffalo, New York, the son of the late Reginald H. and Ruth Louise Koehler Nichols.
He attended the Riverview United Methodist Church in Toronto and was a member of the Methodist Men''s Group of the church.
He was a veteran of the Korean War Era serving in the U.S.Army.
Donald is retired from the Niagra County Community College in Niagra County, New York where he taught Mechanical Engineering. After retiring from the Niagra Community College, He worked as a free lance Pressure Vessel Designer.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Donald''s survivors are: Wife: Jean Grimm Nichols of the home whom he married November 1, 1992. 4 Daughters: Mrs. Mark ( Nancy ) Kindred of Buffalo, New York Diane Nichols serving in the U. S. Navy at Norfolk, Va. Mrs. Steve ( Vicki ) Hamilton of Industry, Pa. Mrs. Richard ( Lucinda ) Griffin of Lisbon, Ohio 1 Sister: Mrs. Karl ( Marjorie ) Hartwig of Clarence Center, New York Four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews Visitation hours will be 6:00 to 8:30 PM Friday March 16, 2001 at the Clarke Funeral Home - 302 Main Street Toronto, Ohio - 740-537-1234 or 800-588-1446. A funeral service will be held at 8:30 PM Friday at the funeral home with Reverend Michael Baldwin officiating. Burial will take place at Toronto Union Cemetery, Toronto,at the convenience of the family with Military Honors by the Toronto American Legion.
