Donald G. Palmer, age 81 of Steubenville (Pleasant Hill), OH passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born May 11, 1933 in Steubenville, OH the son of the late Carl Reuben Palmer and Christina (Anderson) Palmer.

Donald was a 1950 graduate of Jefferson Union High School; loved to do gardening; was an outdoorsman and loved to go fishing. He had served his country in the U.S. Army.
He was retired from the Weirton Steel Company, Tin Mill Division as a crane man. Donald was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Carl Roland Palmer and sister, Eleanor Henry. He is survived by his wife Phyllis Ann (Channels) Palmer whom he married January 6, 1973; sons, Donald William (Maryann) Palmer of Steubenville (Pleasant Hill), OH and Eric Roland (Wendy) Palmer of Steubenville, (Pleasant Hill), OH; grandchildren, Michael Eric, Emily Michelle and Gage Michael Palmer. Visitation hours for Donald will be held from 2 to 6 P.M. Saturday, March 14th at the Clarke Funeral Home, 302 Main Street, Toronto, OH. Following visitation hours Saturday everyone is invited to go to the Toronto Order of Eagles, 112 North Fifth Street, Toronto for refreshments and a time of fellowship and remembrances with Donald''s family.
