Dorothy R. Reese - Age 93 - of Empire, Ohio, died Tuesday - February 5, 2002 at her home of natural causes.
She was born May 8, 1908 in Minors, Ohio, the daughter of the late Alex and Bertha Brown Keenan.
Dorothy is a member of the Empire United Methodist Church, Empire, Ohio where she was a Sunday School Teacher for many years.
She was a member of the Jefferson County Chapter of the American Red Cross and was a member of the Toronto Chapter of the Daughters of America.
Dorothy was retired from the former Stanton Local School District where she was a custodian.
She was preceded in death by her parents /Husband: Harry A. Reese, Sr. who passed away in 1973 and whom she married June 17, 1924 / 2 Sons: Harry Reese, Jr. and John Reese who both passed away in 1990. / 1 Daughter:- Nancy Desper who passed away in 1996. 2 Brothers: Alex Keenan, Jr. & Theodore ''''Buster'''' Keenan / 1 Sister: Bertha York / 3 Nephews: Ben Householder, Robert Keenan & Theodore Keenan / Niece: Joyce York / Son-In- Law: James Desper. Dorothy''s survivors are: 2 Sons: Wendell Reese and wife Annabelle of Empire, Ohio Terry Reese at home 3 Daughters: Mrs. Richard ( Brenda ) Van Dine of Hammondsville, Ohio Mrs. Joe ( Cindy ) Graham of St. Clairsville, Ohio Amy Russell of Salineville, Ohio Daughter-In-Law: Wynona ''''Mike'''' Reese of Empire, Ohio 2 Nephews: William Householder and wife Carol of Stratton, Ohio Jack Keenan and wife Beverly of Beloit, Ohio 3 Nieces: Virginia Dobson of Toronto Dorothy Thomas of Richmond, Ohio Mrs. Glenn ( Becky ) Brady of Empire, Ohio 26 Grandchildren / 45 Great-grandchildren / 23 Great-great grandchildren Friends and family will be received for visitation 7-9 Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 Thursday at Clarke Funeral Home - 302 Main Street- Toronto, Ohio. 740-537-1234 or 800-588-1446 A funeral service will be held 11:00 Friday - February 8, 2002 at Clarke Funeral Home with Reverend Sam Troyer officiating. Burial will follow at Sugar Grove Cemetery near Empire, Ohio. Contributions in memory of Dorothy may be given to the Empire United Methodist Church - State Route 7 - Empire, Ohio 43926
