Edward Harvey "Edd" Ely, age 79 passed away Saturday October 12, 2024 at the Valley Hospice Care Center North.

Edd was born September 1, 1945 in Steubenville the son of the late John and Mary (Hennis) Ely and also preceded in death by brothers, John, Bill, Earl Ely and sisters, Carolyn Ely and Elizabeth Morris.

He was retired as a truck driver for the Weirton Ice and Coal Company.

Edd is survived by his wife, Barbara Jean (Craig) Ely whom he married July 8, 1967, son Scott Ely and daughter Melissa (Clifford) Jenkins; grandchildren, Derek, Kyle, Madison and Zach.

A memorial gathering honoring Edd with remembrances and stories of his life with family and friends will be held Friday October 18th at the Clarke Funeral Home, Toronto.
