Edward Wilson Stacey, loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and respected businessman, passed away October 23rd, 2006 at the Verde Valley Medical Center in Cottonwood, Arizona. Edward passed quietly while holding the hand of his beloved and devoted wife of 53 years - Mary. Born in East Liverpool, Ohio on March 21st, 1933, he was preceded in death by his mother, Thelma (Wilson) Hess in 1983, his father Russell William Hess in 1985, and a brother William Stacey in 1982. Edward is survived by his wife Mary Elizabeth (McFaul) Stacey who he married April 11, 1953, and their six children, Roger W. Stacey of East Liverpool, Linda S. (Stacey) Atchison of Toronto, Edward J. Stacey of Toronto, Thomas A. Stacey current location unknown, Mary A. (Stacey) Kinter of Toronto and Sherry A. Stacey of Harker Heights, Texas, 9 grandchildren, one great grandchild, a sister Margaret (Stacey) Moffitt of East Liverpool, one brother Laird Stacey of Gardendale, Alabama and three nieces, Barbara Stacey, Patricia Lloyd and Janet Faust. Ed was a veteran who proudly served in the Army from 1953 to 1955 as a Communication Encryption Specialist at Ft. Belvoir, Virginia before moving back to East Liverpool where he worked his way up to assistant manager of an A & P store. He then opened up his first grocery store in Toronto in 1965. The grocery store has since moved twice during its growth before moving to its current location on Franklin Ave. in Toronto in 1989. Being a family run business for so many years, it will continue to remain in the family. The Stacey family moved to Arizona where Edward semi-retired in 1975. Edward was greatly known for his generosity and devotion to helping the community. He was greatly respected by so many and will be sadly missed. In continuing with his kind spirit and generosity the family requests that in place of sending flowers please make a monetary donation to the S.C.
