Edwin P. A"DocA" Coil - Age 84 - of Toronto, passed away Monday - June 9, 2003 at the Weirton Medical Center - Weirton, W.Va.He was born September 27, 1918 in Knox Township, Ohio, the son of the late Cyrus Benjamin and Gladyth Poland Coil.Edwin is a member, Elder and former Sunday School Teacher of the First Westminster Presbyterian Church of Steubenville.He was a Cub Scout Master for Cub Scout Pack #143 / a 63 year member of the Toronto Masonic Lodge # 583 F. & A.M. / Scottish Rite - Valley of Steubenville / Steubenville Commandery #11 Knights Templer.Edwin is a 1938 graduate of Toronto High School / a board member for over 30 years of the City Rescue Mission of Steubenville.He is a veteran of W.W.II - U.S. Army having served throughout Europe including the second wave of the invasion of Normandy, France and was in the Battle of the Bulge.Edwin retired in 1976 after 31 years of employment from National Steel Co. - Weirton Steel Division as an assistant roller in the 54A" Tandem Mill.He was preceded in death by: Parents / Wife - Margaret V. Starkey Coil who passed away September 11, 2002 and whom he married September 20, 1947 / Son - Cyrus A"CyA" Benjamin Coil who passed away December 15, 1992 / 5 Brothers - Benjamin, Walter, Samuel, Lynn C. A"TedA", and Frederick Coil / an infant sister and a sister Mary Blackburn.Edwin''s survivors are:2 Sons: Mark Coil and wife Diane Wayne Coil and wife Judy2 Daughters: Norma West and husband Walter Tracy Kellermier and husband Harry ALL OF TORONTO11 Grandchildren / 3 Great-grandchildrenFriends and family will be received for visitation 3-5 and 7-9 Wednesday at the Clarke Funeral Home - 302 Main St. - Toronto. 740-537-1234 or 800-588-1446.The Toronto Masonic Lodge will conduct Masonic Services 8:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.A funeral service will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday - June 12, 2003 at the funeral home with the Rev. Sue Haseltine and the Rev. Robert Shearer officiating. Burial will follow at the Island Creek Cemetery - Church Road - Toronto.There will be full military graveside honors by the Toronto American Legion.Memorial contributions in memory of Edwin may be made to the City Rescue Mission - Steubenville.
