Eleanor A. Barlas, 92, of Washington DC, formerly from Toronto, peacefully transitioned to eternal life on November 5, 2021, surrounded by family. She was born October 29, 1928, she was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Anna (Hromi) Barlas, brothers Joseph Barlas and John (Anne) Barlas, sisters Mary (Joe) DelFiandra, Margaret (Al) Zekas, Ann Catherine (Joe) Candal, and her sister Agnes (Pete) Ferrelli who passed January 7, 2022. Many nieces and nephews are left to cherish loving memories. Anyone who knew Eleanor, knows of her deep devotion to her Roman Catholic faith. She was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church and volunteered much of her time at the Washington Retreat House.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph Church in Toronto, Saturday, November 5 at 11:00 am. With Father Vennitti officiating.  Burial will follow at the Toronto Union Cemetary.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Washington Retreat House.
