Elizabeth J. "Betty"(Tague) Lloyd, age 93 of Toronto, OH passed away Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at the Acuity Specialty Hospital, Steubenville, OH.

She was born December 3, 1920 in Natrona, PA the daughter of the late Thomas J. and Bertha Rosena (Westerman) Tague.

Betty was a member of the St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church of Toronto; the Toronto Senior Citizens where she held several offices; the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians; had been employed at the former G.C. Murphy Co. in Toronto and retired as a telephone operator from the Ohio Bell Telephone Company in Toronto. She loved to sew and was a well-known seamstress. She was a 1938 graduate of Toronto High School.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband William H. Lloyd January 24, 1993 whom she married December 28, 1944 and two brothers, John and Francis Tague. Betty is survived by sons: Patrick (Nancy) Lloyd of Green Valley, AZ, William (Donna) Lloyd of Erie, PA and James (Laurie) Lloyd of Liberty, IN; daughters: Barbara (Paul) Wetzel of Plymouth, IN, Karen (Chris) Pavlik of Toronto, OH, Mary Ann Patterson of Hammondsville, OH and Margaret (Duane) Chase of Jefferson, MD; 15 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren and sisters Margaret Dunlap of Toronto, OH. and Mary (Babe) McCann of Florida. Visitation hours for Betty will be held from 4 to 8 P.M. Thursday, July 10th at the Clarke Funeral Home, 302 Main St., Toronto, OH and also additional visitation from 9 to 10 A.M. Friday at the St. Francis Catholic Church, corner of Findley St. and Euclid Ave. A Vigil service will be held 4 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home. A Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians service will be held 7:30 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home. A Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated 10 A.M. Friday, July 10th at the St. Francis Catholic Church, Toronto with celebrant the Reverend Father Thomas Vennitti. Memorial contributions in memory of Betty may be made to the St. Francis / St. Joseph Catholic Church Educational Fund. 1225 N. River Ave., Toronto, OH 43964
