Elizabeth R. (Betty) Halpate Kerns - Age 82 - of Wheaton, Illinois - a former long time resident of Toronto passed away Wednesday July 13, 2005 at the home of her daughter Stephanie Miller in Wheaton, Illinois.Betty was born September 29, 1922 in East Liverpool, Ohio the daughter of the late Edwin and Frances Sharkey Greenwood.She is a member of the St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church of Toronto and the Catholic Women''s Club of the church.Betty is a 1940 graduate of the East Liverpool High School and a member of the East Liverpool Alumni Association. Her other memberships include the Toronto Senior Citizens and the Jefferson County Democratic Party.She was preceded in death by: Parents / 1st husband - Michael J. Halpate, Jr. who passed away in 1960 / 2nd husband - John (Jack) W. Kerns who passed away in 1995 / son - Michael J. Halpate III who passed away in 1963.Betty'' survivors are:Son: David M. Halpate and wife Judith of Renovo, PA2 Daughters: Stephanie A. Miller and husband Fred of Wheaton, Ill. with whom she resided Barbara F.
