Ella Mae Vandruff, age 73 of Stratton, OH passed away at her home surrounded by her family, Sunday, September 7, 2014.

She was born July 1, 1941 in Empire, OH the daughter of the late Charles Owens and Mae Louise (Taggart) Owens Cutri.

Ella Mae was Methodist by faith and was retired from the Calcutta, OH Giant Eagle Grocery Store,
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George Frederick Vandruff in 2006 whom she married August 8, 1957; son, George Frederick Vandruff, Jr. in 2010; great-grandchildren, Joshua and Jacob Walter, Axel Jacob Croxton, Baby Girl Layman and Baby Boy Layman; brother, Charles Owens. Ella Mae is survived by, daughters, Kimberly (Douglas) Wiley of Toronto, OH; Belinda Vandruff of Stratton, OH; Melinda (William) Karpinski of Weirton, WV and Penny Jennings of Stratton, OH; grandchildren, Amy Wiley, Nicole Walter, William Karpinski, Jr., Justin Jamison, Jennifer Layman, Chera Hoffman, Scott Karpinski, Lyle Jennings and Megan Jennings; ten great-grandchildren; sister, Kay (Angelo) Lamatrice of Steubenville, OH. All arrangements for Ella Mae will be private. To honor her wishes, she will be cremated. Memorial contributions in memory of Ella Mae may be given to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
