Francis Xavier A"LeftyA" O''Lear Age 81 of Toronto, died Friday - April 5, 2002 at his residence of natural causes. He was born October 10, 1920 in Cadogan, PA., the son of the late Joseph and Susan C. Kovach O''Lear. He is a member of the St. Francis Roman Catholic Church of Toronto.He was an active member of the St. Francis Catholic Parish in Toronto serving as an Alter Server, Cantor, Eucharistic Minister, Choir Member, Usher and member of the Adoration Society. Lefty was a 1938 graduate of New Kensington, PA. High School. He served in WW II in the United State Navy and was a 1st Class Quartermaster. Lefty served on the following :Member of: Toronto Beautification Committee, Toronto Union Cemetery Board, St. Francis Central School Board, Salvation Army Volunteer, Toronto Health Board, Present Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus Council #2187 and was named Knight of the Year for the State of Ohio in 2001. From 1946 to 1982 he worked for various divisions of the Allegheny Ludlum / Titanium Metals Corporation and retired in 1982 as Superintendent of the Strip Mill in Toronto. Lefty was preceded in death by: Parents / Wife - Mary Jane Darney O''Lear who passed away in 1986 and whom he married September 10, 1949 / Brother - John O''Lear. His survivors are a Son:Chad O''Lear and wife Marian Jay of Vandergriff, PA.4 Dau.:Mary Elizabeth O''Lear of Pittsburgh, PA. Mrs. Jeff (Cynthia) Adams of Denver, Colorado Laurie O''Lear of St. Petersburg, Florida Patricia Eltringham of Greensburg, PA. 2 Bro.:Thomas O''Lear and wife Agnes of Sun City West, Arizona James O''Lear of Delmont, PA. 2 Sis.: Mrs. Lloyd (Rita)Momberger of New Kensington, PA. Carolyn Federinko of Parma, Ohio Friends and family will be received for visitation hours - 7-9 Sunday / 12-9 Monday at Clarke Funeral Home - 302 Main St. - Toronto. 740-537-1234 OR 800-588-1446 and from 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. Tuesday at the St. Francis Roman Catholic Church - Corner of Findlay and Euclid - Toronto. The Toronto Knights of Columbus will have a Rosary Service 3:00 P.M. Monday at the Funeral Home. A Wake Service will be held 7:30 P.M. Monday at the funeral home. A Blessing Service will be held 9:30 A.M. Tuesday - April 9, 2002 at the St. Francis Roman Catholic Church followed by a Funeral Liturgy with Mass at 10:00 A.M. with Monsignor Roger Foys officiating. Burial will follow at the Toronto Union Cemetery.
