Fred Elmer Halm, age 77 of Toronto, OH passed away Sunday, September 3, 2017 at the Gables Care Center, Hopedale, OH.

He was born December 11, 1939 in Steubenville, OH

Fred was a graduate of Steubenville High School loved to fish and go camping and was an Army veteran during the Vietnam War Era.

He was the owner of the former Modern Dairy of Steubenville, OH

Fred was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Doris (Duffy) Halm and a son, David Halm.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Ann (Shay) Halm; daughter, Jennifer Halm of Mingo Jct., OH; step-son, John (Rita) Riley; sister, Susan (Don) Robinson of Hendersonville, NC; grandchildren, Joey Halm, April (Eric) Riley Crew, Jay (Mindie) Riley; great-grandchildren, J.J. and Kloe Riley and Jorden and Livia Crew; nieces and nephews, Scott Robinson, Jim (Darlene) Shay, Debbie (Ernie) Gorrell, Gerri Ann Thorne, Doug Shay and Jeff (Donna) Shay.

Visitation hours for Fred will be held from 1 to 3 P.M. Wednesday, September 6th at the Clarke Funeral Home, Toronto, OH. followed by a celebration service of Fred's life at 3 P.M.

Pastor Roger Wayne will officiate the service and interment will follow at the Toronto Union Cemetery.
