George E. ''''Ben'''' Rawson - Age 82 of Toronto, died Friday April 13, 2001 at Trinity Medical Center West, Steubenville, Ohio.
He was born August 22, 1918 in Toronto, the son of the late George and Julie Hamilton Rawson.
He was a former employee of the Weirton Steel Company - Weirton, WV.
He is a United States Army veteran of W.W.II having served during the Normandy Invasion of France and in Central Europe.
He was preceded in death by: Parents/ Wife: Jeanne Green Rawson / Daughter: Janet Rawson / 5 Brothers: Don, Robert, Kenneth, Howard, and Roy Rawson / 1 Sister: Evelyn B. Monigold.
George is survived by several nieces and nephews. Visitation hours will be 5-7 Monday at Clarke Funeral Home - 302 Main Street, Toronto, Ohio. 740-537-1234 Or 800-588-1446. A funeral service will be held at 7:00 PM Monday - April 16, 2001 at Clarke Funeral Home with Reverend Jeff Proya officiating. Burial will be at the Toronto Union Cemetery - Toronto, Ohio.
