George Vein, age 73 of Mingo Junction, passed away on Friday, June 2, 2006 at Weirton Medical Center - Weirton, W.Va.Born April 20, 1933 in Mingo, he is a son of the late Dobre Peter and Milija Tepavac Vein Sr. He is a graduate of the former Jefferson Union High School, and is Serbian Orthodox by faith. His is retired from the Sheet Metal Workers - Union Local No. 33 and currently was the Vice-President of the Bosney - Densmore Animal Shelter in Mingo.In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Dulcie Vein, who passed away in July of last year. A sister Mrs. Ann Wukelic; A brother Sam Vein; and a son-in-law Nathaniel Dixon.George''s survivors include four daughters; Mrs. Kim Dixon, Mrs. Kay Riggs and her husband Lory, Mrs. Ginny Wilson and her husband Mike, all of Mingo, and Miss Michelle A"MikkiA" Vein of Steubenville. Two sons, George W. Vein and his wife Wendy, and Samuel Vein and his wife Sherri, both of Steubenville. Four brothers, Eli, Pete, Joe, and Mitch Vein; three sisters, Mrs. Josephine Hare, Miss Martha Vein, and Mrs. Dorothy Jewett.
