George E. Young, Sr. Age 82 of Steubenville passed away Sunday March 9, 2008 at the Trinity Medical Center - West, Steubenville.He was born March 15, 1925 in Steubenville the son of the late Thomas and Mary Eddy Young.George is a member of the Bray''s Chapel United Methodist Church, Costonia and is a 1943 graduate of the former Jefferson Union High School (Edison Local)He served his country during W.W.II in the U.S. Navy. He served on the Destroyer Escort ship the U.S.S. Chatelain.George is retired from the National Steel Co., Weirton Steel Division, Weirton, W.Va.He was preceded in death by: Parents / Wife - Betty J. Cook Young who passed away June 2, 1966 and whom he married March 25, 1950 / brother - William Young who passed away in 1949 and a sister Molly Lee who passed away in 1952.George''s survivors are:3 Daughters: Martha Cozad and husband John of Yorkville, Wisconsin Debra Bickar and husband Donald of Steubenville, Oh.
