Gerald Eugene Hood, age 75 of Toronto passed away at his home Wednesday, July 28, 2021.

He was born September 23, 1945 in Marietta, OH the son of the late Roy and Gladys (Williams) Hood.

Gerald was a self-employed construction worker and in addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann Hood in 2011 whom he married April 21, 1973.

He is survived by a daughter, Geri (Acea Rawson) Hood of Toronto; son, Steve (Dawn) Hood, of Parma,OH; step-son, Dustin (Susan) Miller of Chester, VA; grandchildren, Natalie and Doug Snyder III of Toronto, Stephen Hood of Wakeman, OH, Brayden Hood of Parma, OH , Presley Hood of Elyria, OH, Averi Hood of Parma, OH and Joshua Miller of Chester, VA; great grandson, Douglas Snyder, IV; brothers, Junior(Joyce)Hood of Ashland, OH and Michael (Deb) Hood of Toronto and a sister Patty (Gary) Delaney of Toronto. He is also survived by his companion Paige Enochs.

It was Gerald's wishes to be cremated without visitation or services and be buried at the Sugar Grove Union Cemetery next to his wife Mary Ann.

Gerald's family wishes to thank Valley Hospice for the loving care they gave him during his illness .

Gerald's arrangements are in the care of the Clarke Funeral Home, Toronto.
